A Fashion Explosion at Pat Field’s Store

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

The Dolls’ Valentine’s Day wishes came true with an extravagant fashion show at the Pat Field’s party. The models were none other than the unbelievably glamorous professors from the New York School of Burlesque! These women exude confidence and beauty, and are masters in the art of the tease. If any of you ladies need a little je ne sais quoi, this is the place to learn it!

The show kicked off with Jo “Boobs” Weldon, who is the headmistress and founder of the NYSB. She also happens to be the Director of Education at the Burlesque Hall of Fame. The word on the street is that she’s even writing a book on the subject—us Dolls cannot wait to bury our noses in that one! She rocked the runway with her feathered fans and striptease—and tease she did when she took off her Cha-Cha Cheeky panties to reveal an even skimpier Thrilling Thong.

Next came Miss Dirty Martini, Miss Exotic World 2004. This blonde bombshell rattled a few hearts with her perfect burlesque-star walk and beautiful Peek-a-Boo Camisole brassiere in the Port Royale color—the ideal shade for Valentine’s Day. She also wore a matching Cha-Cha Cheeky short, which really showed off her best ASSets!

Then it was none other than The World Famous *BOB*, who absolutely ruled the runway with her charisma and beauty! As a side note, this woman definitely stops the music anytime she enters a room. She started down the runway in grand style, with the classic Miss America wave. She got so excited by the crowd’s enthusiastic response that she whipped off her After Midnight Curvaceous Cleavage brassiere—oops! Maybe Miss America would disapprove, but we loved it!

Miss Clams Casino, “NYC’s most delicious dish,” was up next, and she was absolutely pin-up perfect in her Tea Rose Tap Pant and Curvaceous Cleavage brassiere. The lingerie was a perfect compliment to her long, luxurious blonde hair and come-hither eyes. Oh, Miss Clams, you melted our hearts!

Last, but certainly not least, Jo “Boobs” Weldon and our favorite go-go boy, Lucky, hit the runway together. He donned a pair of black boxer briefs with the word “DOLL” sequined on the back, and he wore pasties to match. He certainly was a doll, and the professors taught him how to twirl those pasties backstage. Boobs strutted down the runway in the Shake It Shaper, with Lucky’s hands holding her bosoms in lieu of a brassiere—we were so jealous! This duo was a crowd pleaser as they performed their naughty moves for the gaggle of onlookers.

The whole party was hosted by D-list, from East Village Radio. They really kept the party going with their high-energy music. Oh, and the free vodka bar didn’t hurt the loving spirit of the evening. The crowd was an eclectic bunch of serious fashionistas who know how to party. Not sure if it’s the recession, the depression, or what, but Giuliani’s pristine New York City feels like a distant memory. The fabulousness is back, and Pat Field’s store is where it’s at!

Finally, many thanks to Meredith, Yvonne, and Katheryn, who really helped The Dolls out with their bartending, photography, and serious thong-selling skills!

The Dirty Dolls Storm York, PA

Friday, February 13th, 2009

Mama Doll decided to host a lingerie party for her friends and colleagues, all of whom claimed to be in desperate need of new brassieres. So the Dolls took a midnight road trip out to York, Pennsylvania, in order to please these busty customers. Mama Doll really went all out with the hors d’oeuvres and wine, and she represented by wearing her After Midnight Smooth Moves Brassiere under a neckline that showed just the right amount of lace.

The turnout for the party was tremendous, and The Dolls were a bit overwhelmed by the number of tas-tas that needed to be fit. But there was a job to be done, so The Dolls put on some smooth jazz and got down to business!

After hours of fitting, hoisting, pulling, and nudging things into place, The Dolls knew their job was done.  It was especially rewarding to see clients leave the fittings proudly donning their new brassieres. The ladies had no bones about lifting up their shirts to show their friends the great brassieres they’d just purchased – let’s hear it for self-confidence! The Peek-a-Boo Camisole Brassiere finally had it’s moment in the spotlight, as almost all the ladies recognized the style’s versatility.

One lovely client even commented that The Dolls “made her feel pretty again.” Those words brought tears to our eyes—that’s our entire mission, in a nutshell!. Another partygoer was glad that she got some of our bras “before we went Oprah.” Um, Oprah? Can you hear us? We are here for you!

When The Dolls finally headed back to their homebase in New York, they did so with hearts wildly aflutter, ecstatic at having outfitted the great ladies of York. The Dolls now smile every time they think of those ladies down in southern Pennsylvania, wearing their glamorous Dirty Dolls Lingerie. Glad we could help!

DD Burlesque in Harlem

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

The Dirty Dolls Lingerie party at Harlem’s N Boutique was even more fabulous than we could have imagined. But then again, how could you go wrong with an evening dedicated to lingerie, cocktails, and burlesque? Women came from far and wide to get personalized bra fittings, and everyone got a little liquored up on pink Nuvo—which, by the way, tastes delicious with strawberries.

The lovely performers were the true stars of the evening. They were introduced by none other than Project Runway’s Suede, who had hair and makeup that would make any lady jealous. The show started with the amazingly sexy Perle Noire the Black Pearl, whose beautiful body must be seen to be believed. She glammed it up with an imaginative rainbow makeup job, and her pasties were intricately styled like golden seashells. She even did the full-on splits!

Next up was the Incredible, Edible Akynos, otherwise known as “the little girl with big hair.” Did she ever know how to captivate an audience with her  naughty moves! The show’s final act was Carmen Barika, a.k.a. “The Dirty Diva,” who truly amazed everyone with her number. She started out by singing opera, then segued into “Me So Horny” by 2 Live Crew. I dare say that more than a few spectators felt horny themselves after watching The Dirty Diva rule the stage!

The guests didn’t let the severe cold interfere with their style—everyone looked fabulous. Many thanks to Coco La Pearl who was gorgeous in her DD Curvaceous Cleavage Brassiere and cherry red skirt, what a hot little number! A few attendees sported full-length coats and capes—the ultimate in bold fashion statements. Of course this party would not have been possible without the lovely owners of the N Boutique: Lenn, Larry, and Nikoa, thank you so much for hosting the Dolls in your beautiful shop.
