The Dolls’ Valentine’s Day wishes came true with an extravagant fashion show at the Pat Field’s party. The models were none other than the unbelievably glamorous professors from the New York School of Burlesque! These women exude confidence and beauty, and are masters in the art of the tease. If any of you ladies need a little je ne sais quoi, this is the place to learn it!
The show kicked off with Jo “Boobs” Weldon, who is the headmistress and founder of the NYSB. She also happens to be the Director of Education at the Burlesque Hall of Fame. The word on the street is that she’s even writing a book on the subject—us Dolls cannot wait to bury our noses in that one! She rocked the runway with her feathered fans and striptease—and tease she did when she took off her Cha-Cha Cheeky panties to reveal an even skimpier Thrilling Thong.
Next came Miss Dirty Martini, Miss Exotic World 2004. This blonde bombshell rattled a few hearts with her perfect burlesque-star walk and beautiful Peek-a-Boo Camisole brassiere in the Port Royale color—the ideal shade for Valentine’s Day. She also wore a matching Cha-Cha Cheeky short, which really showed off her best ASSets!
Then it was none other than The World Famous *BOB*, who absolutely ruled the runway with her charisma and beauty! As a side note, this woman definitely stops the music anytime she enters a room. She started down the runway in grand style, with the classic Miss America wave. She got so excited by the crowd’s enthusiastic response that she whipped off her After Midnight Curvaceous Cleavage brassiere—oops! Maybe Miss America would disapprove, but we loved it!
Miss Clams Casino, “NYC’s most delicious dish,” was up next, and she was absolutely pin-up perfect in her Tea Rose Tap Pant and Curvaceous Cleavage brassiere. The lingerie was a perfect compliment to her long, luxurious blonde hair and come-hither eyes. Oh, Miss Clams, you melted our hearts!
Last, but certainly not least, Jo “Boobs” Weldon and our favorite go-go boy, Lucky, hit the runway together. He donned a pair of black boxer briefs with the word “DOLL” sequined on the back, and he wore pasties to match. He certainly was a doll, and the professors taught him how to twirl those pasties backstage. Boobs strutted down the runway in the Shake It Shaper, with Lucky’s hands holding her bosoms in lieu of a brassiere—we were so jealous! This duo was a crowd pleaser as they performed their naughty moves for the gaggle of onlookers.
The whole party was hosted by D-list, from East Village Radio. They really kept the party going with their high-energy music. Oh, and the free vodka bar didn’t hurt the loving spirit of the evening. The crowd was an eclectic bunch of serious fashionistas who know how to party. Not sure if it’s the recession, the depression, or what, but Giuliani’s pristine New York City feels like a distant memory. The fabulousness is back, and Pat Field’s store is where it’s at!
Finally, many thanks to Meredith, Yvonne, and Katheryn, who really helped The Dolls out with their bartending, photography, and serious thong-selling skills!
